Facebook is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family, but sometimes while we are busy working online, we just can’t bother opening Facebook in a new tab. Facebook!, a Chrome extension, is a great way to be constantly updated with Facebook notifications, posts and more. Once you’ve installed the extension, you will be able to access feeds, statuses, calendar, photos, live notifications and much more through a compact pop-up. After installing the extension, simply click on the little Facebook button in the toolbar and you will be redirected to the login page, and once you’re logged in, you can access your entire account within the compact pop-up. Another great feature is that, the extension has no ads or banners, whatsoever. With it, you can view posts, comment, update your status, track events, birthdays, view photos inside the pop-up and get instant notifications when you get a message or invite. It works exactly like the normal Facebook site, but works much faster.
You will find six tabs to the left hand-side of the pop-up, namely News Feed, Events, Photos, Inbox, Notifications and Friends. Click the button in the tool bar to view News Feeds, simply scroll down the page and browse as you normally do.
The Events category offers users with a compact calendar, which has birthdays and events marked. The calendar is displayed at the top, whereas the events for a particular date are displayed under it. Click a particular date and view events for that day. Furthermore, you can click the forward/backward arrows and quickly switch between months.
When on Facebook, we have to click Profile, Photos and See all option in order to view the entire collection of albums. This pop-up lets you view all your albums with only a click or two. Moreover, you can click an album and instantly view photos inside the pop-up. When you select a particular photo, the page is dimmed and the photo is displayed over the page. You can navigate between photos by using the forward/backward buttons and cross them out, when you want to view some other photo or album.
When someone posts on your wall, sends you a message, likes your post or comments on an item, live desktop notifications are instantly displayed, letting you stay apprised of the latest activity.
This extension works smoothly and lets you stay connected, without having to open Facebook in a new tab. Overall, it personalizes and enhances your networking experience by letting you access and view more, with fewer clicks.
